Butter-Basted Grilled Pork Chops

Meat-only grilled pork chops, finished with a butter baste. No herbs/spices required beyond salt/pepper.

Ingredients

  • Pork Boneless Center Cut Chops Value Pack (1 lb) 2 chops (about 12–16 oz total) $4.99 sale
  • Butter 1–2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat chops dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high and oil grates (use animal fat if you avoid plant oils).
  3. Grill chops 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until 145°F internal.
  4. Move to a cooler part of the grill (or off heat) and add butter on top; let melt over the meat 1 minute.
  5. Rest 5 minutes, then serve (1 chop per person).

Health notes: High-protein; choose lean center-cut chops to keep fat lower.

Drink pairing: Light lager, bourbon highball, or water.
